Butch (as named by my daughter - based on a cartoon character - and featuring my pup) is a versatile drive pedal with switchable clipping diodes for a variety of sounds. Want a louder, more "overdrive-y" sound? Flip the switch to Balls (silicon diodes). Want fuzzy, saturated hard clipping? Flip to Bones (germanium diodes). Need a clean boost? Flip to the middle position, back off on the Bark control, and turn up the Howl control to push your amp into its sweet spot.

Here is guitarist Stu Weinberg showing all the versatile tones that Butch is capable of producing.

Depending on how hot your pickups are, you may want to back of a tad on the guitar's volume to keep the transistor stages from clipping, but that's totally a matter of personal preference. All clipping modes clean up nicely with your guitar's volume control. Since we launched it, the Butch drive pedal has stayed on my board constantly, and is one of our best sellers. Talk about bang for the buck; I think you'll be happy with all the tones you can get!

Here's the Butch in germanium and silicon modes being compared against other drives we offer.
